Saban visits Athens High PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 17 January 2007

New Alabama head football coach Nick Saban and his defensive line coach Ron Middleton were at Athens High School on Monday to visit commitment Alfred McCullough and to talk to coach Allen Creasy about other possible prospects.

With national signing day only three weeks away, Saban is hot on the recruiting trail during the week and hosting visitors in Tuscaloosa on the weekend.

Creasy said Monday’s visit to AHS was not Saban’s first time at the school.

“He’s actually been by before while he was recruiting at LSU,” he said. “He and the new defensive line coach Ron Middleton came to see Alfred yesterday (Monday).”

Creasy said he has always been impressed with Saban’s recruiting skills.

“He does a great job in the recruiting process,” he said. “He’s very personable and is just very good at dealing with people. When he talks, you can just tell that he has purpose and he always gets his point across. You can just tell that he’s in charge.”
