University of Alabama senior quarterback John Parker Wilson has been named to the preseason watch list for the 72nd Maxwell Award, the Maxwell Football Club President Ron Jaworski announced today.
Alabama head coach Nick Saban was inducted into the Independence Bowl Hall of Honor Thursday night at a ceremony at the East Ridge Country Club in Shreveport. The honor comes six months after Saban's Crimson Tide defeated the Colorado Buffaloes 30-24 in the 2007 PetroSun Independence Bowl.
Alabama senior quarterback John Parker Wilson has been named to the 2008 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Watch List. Twenty-five of the nation's top senior college quarterbacks have been named to this list as well.
