The University of Montana's football team has indefinitely suspended a cornerback charged with the murder of a California man, head coach Bobby Hauck said Friday.
Jimmy Wilson, 20, is charged in the June 2 shooting death of 29-year-old Kevin Smoot in Lancaster, Calif., about 75 miles northeast of Los Angeles. He surrendered to California authorities Tuesday, stunning current and former UM players.
